Why is there an alphanumeric code next to the QR-Code?
Sometimes, QR codes are not readable because they have been damaged or the first responder has no QR code scanning app on his/her smartphone. For those cases, we have added an alphanumeric (containing numbers and letters only) code onto the labels. That code can be manually entered in the dedicated input field in the top right hand corner of every page on www.qr-help.com.
Another advantage of having this code, is that during an emergency, the first responder could communicate that code to the dispatch central (Phone: 112 in Europe and most countries, 911 in some others). The dispatchers could then already have a look at the medical information in order to make the right choice while dispatching ambulances and emergency physicians.
You can test this alphanumerical code by entering ABCDE12345
in the input field in the very top of this webpage.
